3D printing is laser rapid prototyping, uses resin material,with a laser of particular wavelength and intensity focusing on the surface of light curing material,makes it form directional solidification from point to line,from line to layer.Then lift a layer in the vertical direction,curing another level.Once all layers of the part are completed, they are baked in a oven to be cured.This machining method is able to manufacture sealed product with complicated instructure,only need to input right program.However,the product can not achieve the same accuracy as subtractive manufacture does,and also material applied for 3D printing is limited,which has no advantage of high temperature.For example,use mother mold made by 3D printing to do vacuum casting, product duplicated sometimes will be shrinked and deformed.You may save time in making mother mold,but at last need to spend more time to rectify problems.
Silicon mold vacuum casting was used for production runs or duplicate prototypes and models.Using the model or pieces produced via vacuum casting to produce accurate duplicates of the original products.Reaction injection molding is a way which requires normal temperature,low pressure environment, makes two raw liquid material mixed and stored to rapid mold.After aggregation,crosslinkage,curing stage to form final product.It is high efficient,short leadtime,simple process and low cost,suitable for small batch trail production in product research stage.However,it still need to make mother mold.
