Shenzhen kingco precision modeling co.,ltd can do rapid prototyping with SLA,DMLS and Vacuum casting services,normally we choose SLA to rapidly produce single plastic part, it solves the material consumption problem of SLS,and DMLS is for complicate metal part rapid prototyping. However, we recommend vacuum casting for small quantity plastic or polyurethane  material production.




●  What is SLA?


SLA is the abbreviation of stereo lithography apparatus, it is the first of the additive manufacturing processes collectively known as “3D printing”. 

When SLA is selected to produce, a special type of liquid plastic is used that reacts with ultraviolet (UV) light to form a solid. An object is created by slowly curing one layer at a time using a programmable UV light source. 

As we all know, it is one of the laser rapid prototyping technology, which differs from tranditional machining method, according to the geometrical information generated from CAD, the rapid prototyping technology controls three dimensional numerical prototyping system, uses laser beam to stack material and form parts. It can reach high dimensional accuracy and good surface roughness, suitable for shell parts with complicate structure.

Advantages of SLA:


●  High machining speed, can finish comprehensive structure part in one time, in short production cycle;

●  CAD data can be input into SLA machine to process, no need to do programming and dismantle;

●  Cost will not be added when product required with diversified shape and complex structure, allow bigger design space;

●  3D printing is a feeding technology, it will reduce material waste;

●  SLA is an automatic machine requiring low technical of operator, enhance production independence





●  What is Dmls/dmlm?   


DMLS/DMLM is the abbreviation of Direct Metal Laser Sintering . It is an additive manufacturing process using a high-powered laser to melt and fuse successive layers of powdered metal into three-dimensional solid parts. 

DMLS uses a variety of alloys, allowing prototypes to be functional hardware made out of the same material as production components. Since the components are built layer by layer, it is possible to design organic geometries, internal features that could not be cast or otherwise machined. The advantage is that the more complex or feature rich the component, the more economical the process becomes.

●  What is Polyurethane vacuum?


 The vacuum casting process involves encapsulating a master model in liquid silicone rubber. By this, a silicone mold came into form from the liquid rubber with an exact simulating cavity in its heart. Till the mold becomes stable in terms of shape, chemical and physical properties, castable will be injected into the cavity. After completely curing, the mold is cut open and the component shows itself.

At Shenzhen kingco, we will machine a master model by CNC or 3D printing, which ensure the model accuracy and project efficiency.Normally it takes few days for vacuum casting, dozens of submodel can be produced in one time.
